Chehalis, WA : Three injured in a three-vehicle crash on SR 6 near Chehalis on Friday night, August 1, 2014
Three people were injured Friday night in a three-vehicle crash on state Route 6 about two miles west of Chehalis.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol:
About 6:30 p.m., the driver of a 1991 Honda Accord slowed down on westbound SR 6 to turn left at Milepost 49. The driver of the car behind it, a 2011 Toyota Prius, also slowed down. However, the driver of a 1998 Ford Explorer didn’t and struck the Toyota, which hit the Honda.
The driver of the Toyota, a 30-year-old Centralia woman, was taken to Providence Centralia Hospital. So was the driver of the Honda, an 18-year-old man from The Dalles, Oregon, and a 4-year-old girl who was a passenger in his car. Both vehicles were totaled.
The driver of the Ford, a 21-year-old Chehalis man, was not injured. The State Patrol said inattention was the cause of the accident and that drugs and alcohol were not factors. The crash was under investigation.
