Wreck on U.S. 24 kills Leavenworth girl

A 16-year-old girl from Leavenworth was killed in a wreck about 2:48 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 24 near Basehor, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Kylee Nicole Wilson was driving west in a GMC Envoy when the sport-utility vehicle went out of control and overturned in a ditch, the patrol said. Wilson had been following a sport-utility vehicle carrying two other teenagers, the crash report stated.
