NEW ALBANY, IN : At least 1 dead in multi-vehicle crash on EB I-265 in southern Indiana on Wednesday, 22nd May 2019

Police said two people were killed in a chain-reaction crash in Indiana that happened as traffic backed up due to a sinkhole.

According to Indiana State Police, the crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday on eastbound I-265 between Grant Line and Charlestown roads. A sinkhole had opened up on the road shortly before, diverting traffic.Police said as traffic began to stop, a work truck hit a pickup truck, ultimately causing five cars to crash.
