Elkhart, IN : Two injured in rear-end accident on C.R. 6 in Elkhart on Tuesday, August 2, 2016

Two people were transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on C.R. 6 in Elkhart on Tuesday.

Elkhart police and fire units responded to the intersection of Frederic Drive and C.R. 6 around 2:30 p.m. According to Elkhart Police Department Sgt. Scott Claybaugh, two people were transported from the scene with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Elkhart Fire Department extricated a woman from a Chevy Malibu and transported her to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.

Claybaugh said two vehicles, a pickup truck and a sedan, both were westbound on C.R. 6 when the car stopped and the pickup truck driver rear-ended it.
