PHOENIX, AZ : Scooter rider seriously injured after hit-and-run crash in west Phoenix on Tuesday, 9th January 2024

A man has been hospitalized after an apparent hit-and-run crash involving a motorized scooter driver in west Phoenix early Tuesday morning.Phoenix Police tell Arizona’s Family that the crash happened after 6:30 a.m. near 47th Avenue and Indian School Road. At this time, details are limited, but officers say that the man was taken to a hospital and that the driver involved ran off from the scene. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area throughout the morning as detectives work to gather evidence and learn more about what led up to the crash.
