Bradenton, FL : Teen cyclist injured in collision with car in Manatee County on Monday, May 9, 2016

A 15-year-old boy on a bicycle was critically injured after colliding with a car in Manatee County on Monday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol: Mryia Cadle, 24, of Bradenton was driving a Kia Spectra southbound on 85th Street Court East when the bicyclist who was going eastbound on Linger Road failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the right side of her vehicle.

The boy was thrown onto the pavement on impact, FHP said. He was taken to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg.
