Kearney, NE : One person injured after I-80 accident east of Kearney on Saturday, January 21, 2017

Emergency responders transported at least one person with injuries for hospital attention Saturday after two cars slid off Interstate 80 about six miles east of Kearney.

Kearney Volunteer Fire Department personnel cautioned on police radio that the interstate was slippery and hazardous as they approached the accident scene in the westbound lanes.

Although the driving surface was slippery, it's not been confirmed whether those conditions contributed to the crash.
