Billings, MT : Man dies in crash north of Billings on Saturday, July 19, 2014
A 42-year-old man has died in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 87 north of Billings.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was traveling southbound at about 11 p.m. Saturday when his car drifted into the path of a northbound minivan. The vehicles collided head-on.
Assistant Yellowstone County Coroner Chad Fehr identified the victim as Michael Teeters. Teeters had an Idaho driver's license with an address in Coeur d'Alene, but Fehr tells The Billings Gazette that Teeters had been living in Billings.
Four people in the minivan — a 79-year-old man, a 74-year-old woman, and two boys, ages 14 and 16 — suffered minor injuries. All were wearing seatbelts.
Fehr says an autopsy is planned Tuesday to determine Teeters' cause of death.
