Two people were injured in a single car crash on McKinnon Street Wednesday morning.
A Texas Department of Public safety spokesperson said troopers were called to the scene around 7:41 a.m. Investigators say the 27-year-old driver lost control and hit a guardrail after driving over a wet spot in the road.
The crash occurred on McKinnon Street just before the Dallas North Tollway, according to highway patrol.
The 2015 McLaren P1 was heavily damaged in the crash. The driver and his 24-year-old passenger were taken to Parkland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to a spokesperson from Park Place Premier Collection, the exotic car was sold by the dealership Tuesday, one day before the crash.
The crash is still under investigation. Pictures of the incident have circulated around the internet throughout the day Wednesday.
The McLaren P1 is known as a hyper-car and is valued at more than $1 million. It is equipped with a plug-in electric motor mated to a turbo-charged V8 engine, producing more than 900hp. It has a top speed of 217 mph.
The P1 has a production run of only 375 cars.
