Lebanon,ME : Man returning from medical marijuana festival dies in crash on August, Friday 18th 2017
Police say a driver returning from a medical marijuana festival in Maine died when his pickup truck overturned, pinning him underneath the vehicle.
Police said 55-year-old Michael Meattey, of Barrington, New Hampshire, died in the Friday night accident in Lebanon. A passenger, 62-year-old Ronald Jones, also from New Hampshire, was treated at a hospital and released.
Police said the two had left the festival shortly before the pickup went off the road and overturned. Neither man was wearing a seat belt. Police did not say what caused the accident.
Lebanon’s 3rd Annual Medicinal Marijuana celebration was held Friday through Sunday.
The fatal crash was one of four during the weekend in the state. The others were in Avon, Searsmont and Hollis.
