Jackson,MS : Pedestrian hit and killed outside rescue mission identified on may, tuesday 9th 2017

A man walking along Gallatin Street was killed when a City of Jackson truck jumped the sidewalk and crashed into the Gateway Rescue Mission.

He has been identified as 58-year-old Stevie J. Fuller. The cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Why it actually happened remained unknown as police continued their investigation late Tuesday.

"He is someone who came here often," said Gateway Rescue Mission Executive Director Rex Baker.
