Vista, CA : A man was killed after being hit by a car at 1700 block of East Vista Way On Friday, August 19th, 2016

A man was hit by a car while jaywalking in Vista and died of his injuries, sheriff's deputies said.

The collision was at about 9 p.m. Friday in the 1700 block of East Vista Way happened Friday at about 9 p.m., according to Deputy Jennifer Albright.

The driver of the 1996 Toyota Corolla was not under the influence of alcohol, Albright said. The victim's identity was not immediately released.
