CLAREMONT, NC : 4-year-old killed, 2 other children hospitalized after head-on Catawba County crash on Thursday, 26th September 2024

A 4-year-old was killed, and two other children were hospitalized after a head-on crash in Catawba County during “heavy rain” Thursday morning.

The wreck happened on Sept. 26 around 8:10 a.m. along Boggs Road near Hunsucker Drive; the street was closed for about two hours.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a GMC Acadia driving westbound on Boggs Road crossed the center line and crashed into a GMC Yukon during heavy rain conditions.
