State police say an 80-year-old man has died and another man is hospitalized in serious condition after their vehicles collided at an upstate New York intersection.
Troopers say William Unterman of Middletown was driving a sport utility vehicle and 65-year-old Thomas Decker of Walden was driving a minivan when they collided shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Route 211 and Fitzgerald Drive in the Orange County town of Wallkill, 55 miles northwest of New York City.
Both men were airlifted to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where Unterman died from his injuries.
Decker was listed in serious condition.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
