Fairfield , CA :Driver hits 4 cars then crashes into Fairfield pizza parlor on Monday , June 22nd 2015

Two people were injured Monday when an SUV struck four vehicles before crashing into the kitchen of a pizza parlor in Fairfield.According to the Fairfield Police Department, the crash also caused a gas leak inside the kitchen, forcing the evacuation of the business next door.The driver, a 51-year-old resident, was able to walk out of the building on his own, but was taken to the hospital. A driver of one of the other vehicles involved in the crash was also transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.Pacific Gas and Electric was called to the scene to shut of gas to the building, which sustained major damage as a result of the crash, police said. When firefighters arrived, they found the vehicle partially inside the restaurant.Reports were made around 11:30 a.m. that the SUV had smashed into the restaurant front along North Texas Street.
