Boulder County ,CO : Two woman injured and drive fleed after allegedly crashed into guardrail on Saturday ,August 15th 2015

A driver who left the scene of a car crash in Boulder County has been taken to a hospital, according to a spokesman with the Colorado State Patrol.

Colorado State Trooper Nate Reid told 7NEWS authorities stopped searching for the man involved in a vehicle accident on Highway 36 near Superior, after the man's wife called officials telling them he was OK.

Our partners at the Denver Post report Jeffrey Richardson, 47, allegedly crashed into a guardrail at 2:04 a.m. on westbound Highway 36 near the Flat Irons Mall, leaving two women injured at the scene.

The women were taken to a hospital with minor injuries and were later released, Reid said.
