Exeter, RI : A man was died in a hit-and-run crash at Ten Rod Road On Friday, July 8th, 2016

A man has died after what police say was a hit-and-run crash in Exeter.

Rhode Island State Police say the crash happened just before 10 p.m. Friday on Ten Rod Road, where the victim was walking with friends.

Police say the vehicle fled the scene.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Kent County Hospital, where he died.

Police haven't yet released the victim's identity.

Police believe the vehicle involved in the crash is a large pick-up truck.
