Police in Goodyear say a man has been accused in a hit-and-run crash that left a teenage bicyclist seriously injured.
They say 37-year-old Alejandro Barragan was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of leaving the scene of a serious physical injury collision last Saturday morning.
Goodyear police dispatch operators received a tip Monday evening about a car that matched the description of the vehicle involved in the wreck.
Officers say they found an SUV with heavy front-end damage.
The 14-year-old victim reportedly was struck as he was turning out of a parking lot and the SUV's driver stopped and got out of the vehicle before leaving the scene.
Police say the teen has multiple injuries, including laceration of the liver and kidney and arm and leg fractures.
