A woman typing an address into the Google maps application on her phone caused a Caldwell County wreck that left her father dead.Tequila Cherry, 35, from Connelly Springs, was charged on Tuesday with driving while license revoked, according to N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper F.J. Beam.The 5 p.m. wreck left 61-year-old James Cherry dead. Six other people were injured.Beam said the Cherrys were driving north on Connelly Springs Road near the Castle Bridge, which connects Caldwell and Burke counties. They were heading to a family friend's home nearby, and Tequila was punching the address into the map application.“When she looked up,” Beam said, “she was over the center line.”The suburban struck a black pickup truck and a black jeep. James Cherry was pronounced dead at the scene.Two people were taken to a nearby hospital, but none of the other people involved in the wreck had life-threatening injuries.Beam said he plans to present the case to the Caldwell District Attorney's office to see if additional charges will be brought against Tequila Cherry.
