Devils Lake, ND : Police chase leads to fatal crash on April, Monday 3rd 2017

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that 25-year-old Clarice Brown of Fort Totten was killed after Belcourt police initiated a pursuit following an alleged incident at Sky Dancer Casino early Monday morning.
Brown and a passenger, Derrick Brown, were reportedly involved in a disturbance at the casino and were described by witnesses as being intoxicated. According to the Highway Patrol, Belcourt police located the car and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Clarice Brown was the driver of the vehicle.
Police say that Brown fled, after which a pursuit ensued. According to the report, about three miles west of the casino the car Brown was driving crossed the center line, went into a ditch and rolled over. Clarice Brown was ejected from the car and sustained injuries that would prove to be fatal.
Derrick Brown sustained serious injuries, according to the report, but has since been released from the hospital.
The Highway Patrol reports that Clarice Brown was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while Derrick Brown was.
