A woman is in critical condition following a three-car accident on the FDR early Thursday, according to multiple reports.
The New York Post reports the woman, a 33-year-old from New Jersey, drove her Kia sedan the wrong-way on the FDR at 4 a.m. and collided with two vehicles.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. A passenger in her car and the drivers of the other cars sustained non life-threatening injuries, the news station said.
Police told CBS 2 New York the woman got on the FDR at East 34th Street and began traveling south in the northbound lanes. She made it about 10 blocks before colliding with a Chevy Traverse, and then a Honda Pilot, CBS reported.
According to the Post, the driver of the Kia accidentally got on the wrong side of the highway.
