A Vermont man who was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Colden faces a driving while intoxicated charge, the Erie County Sheriff's Office said.
Grant Brown, 55, of Burlington, was taken to Erie County Medical Center with serious upper body injuries following the crash, which happened at about 4:40 a.m. on State Road.
Brown struck a utility pole and a tree, causing live wires to fall to the ground and road closures in the area, the Sheriff's Office said. State Road was closed between Crump Road in Colden to Foote Road in Concord.
Brown was charged with DWI, speeding, failure to keep right and driving without a license.
