Tulsa, OK : Pedestrian dies after hit-and-run crash; police say attack may have been premeditated on Friday September 2 2016

A 25-year-old woman died after she was struck by a car Friday evening in midtown Tulsa in what police say appears to be a premeditated attack.
Police received a call just before 6 p.m. in regards to an injury accident in the area of 5200 East 47th Place that appeared to be premeditated, according to a release from Homicide Sgt. Dave Walker.
First-responders found a woman in the street who had been run over by a Chevrolet HHR. The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital where she died at 10:26 p.m., according to police.
An investigation showed that a suspect identified as Brittany Payne Wright, 26, was driving a red Chevrolet HHR in the area, according to the release. Wright is the estranged girlfriend of a 21-year-old man who was walking with the victim, his current girlfriend, the release states. An argument ensued, then the man and the victim walked off in the grass north of the north curb line of East 47th Place, well off the traveled roadway, the release states.
Wright drove her car around two bushes and well off the roadway at a rate of speed that caused the vehicle to come up off the ground, according to the release. The vehicle landed and struck the 25-year-old victim, causing her to be rolled up under the car, the release states. The car then drove back onto East 47th Place and headed west, according to the release.
Wright then drove to her house in the 4200 block of North Hartford, according to the release. Police arrested Wright and impounded her vehicle, the release states.
