Jefferson County, CO : One person injured in ATV accident near Jefferson County on Sunday May 15, 2016.

An ATV rollover accident in Jefferson County sent an injured passenger to a local hospital for treatment May 15, Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Stpehanie Davis reported in a news release.
According to Davis, troopers responded to a report of a 4-wheeler crash in the 9200 block of Swarner Drive in Jefferson County at approximately 8 p.m. Responding investigators learned that the driver of a 4-wheeler lost control of the vehicle while traveling down Swarner Drive approaching W. Port Arthur Road. The 4-wheeler rolled over several times before coming to rest.
The driver did not appear to be injured, but was transported to a local hospital. The passenger was hurt and transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening, Davis reported.
At the time of the report troopers were still working to determine what contributed to the crash. Davis stated that it is unclear whether either the driver or passenger was wearing a helmet.
