Authorities say a 69-year-old Montclair man has died after being hit by a car in northern New Jersey.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray said that Gary Moore was struck by a Toyota Corolla after leaving a bagel shop in Bloomfield around 6:15 a.m. Monday.

The 39-year-old Bloomfield man behind the wheel remained on the scene and has not been charged.

An investigation is ongoing.
