Defiance County, OH : One person injured after 3-car Defiance-area crash on Saturday, November 29, 2014
An Ohio man was airlifted from the scene of a three-vehicle crash early Saturday with severe injuries.
Ronald L. Nash, 35, of Napoleon, Ohio, was driving west on Ohio 281 in Defiance County when he crashed into the rear of a van that was also westbound, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
After crashing into the van, driven by Richard Bishop, 41, of Montpelier, Ohio, Nash’s car then crashed into a westbound semi, police said.
Nash’s car came to a stop in the eastbound lanes of the highway and suffered heavy damage, according to the highway patrol.
Nash was airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne and was listed in serious condition Saturday afternoon.
Bishop was treated at an Ohio hospital.
The semi driver, Nicholas A. Steffel, 60, of Sherwood, Ohio, was treated at the scene of the crash and released.
