Black Hawk County, IA: Wet roads lead to crash in Black Hawk County on Thursday, July 16th 2015

A Waterloo man was injured after his car slipped on wet pavement and crashed into a guard rail Thursday morning.The Iowa State Patrol says that Rex Thompson, 44, was driving eastbound on I-380 and took "evasive action" to avoid an eastbound semi.The crash report says he lost control of his vehicle on the wet pavement, and crashed into a guard rail.Thompson was taken to Covenant Hospital by Evansdale Ambulance. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
