ST. LOUIS, MO : Boy, 5, struck and killed in St. Louis City on Sunday, 10th March 2024

A 5-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle and killed in the City of St. Louis Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the middle of the 4400 block of Taft in St. Louis’ Bevo neighborhood. According to police, the boy was playing on the south side of the road when he ran from between two parked cars and was hit by a 2001 Toyota Tacoma.

Police initially said on Sunday the boy was 4, then clarified later that he was 5.

The 39-year-old driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
