Natomas, CA : 2 Drivers injured after crash on North Market Boulevard in Natomas on Monday morning, February 16, 2015

Two men were rushed to the hospital with major injuries after a bad accident in Natomas Monday morning. There are reports one driver went through a red light, slamming into a pick-up truck at the intersection of North Market Street and National Drive.

Just after 6 a.m., CHP officers say a white car slammed into the silver pick-up in the middle of the intersection. Both vehicles were going the speed limit in that area. The intersection was completely blocked, and at least one traffic signal ended up on the ground.

The pick-up truck landed on its side, and the roof needed to be removed to rescue the driver. Several witnesses talked to CHP at the accident scene, and officers are still investigating what may have happened. They can say alcohol or drugs were not factors in the accident.
