POLK COUNTY, FL : Davenport man dies after crash in Polk County on Wednesday, 18th October 2023

A 25-year-old Davenport man died Wednesday morning after a crash near Lake Hamilton in Polk County, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

The man was driving a Kia SUV westbound on Kokomo Road, west of U.S.-17, when the vehicle overtook and collided with the rear of a Chevrolet truck around 7:30 a.m., according to a statement from FLHSMV.
