LAS VEGAS, NV : 1 dead after fiery crash between car, motorcycle in central Las Vegas valley on Monday, 31st July 2023

Police say one person is dead after a fiery crash involving a car and a motorcycle in the central Las Vegas valley Monday morning.

The collision was reported just after 6:50 a.m. on Rancho Drive near Caron Lane, south of Lake Mead Boulevard, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

Investigators believe that a 28-year-old Las Vegas man was riding a 2015 Yamaha FZ-09 motorcycle southbound on Rancho at a high rate of speed, according to LVMPD.

At the same time, a 2015 Chrysler 200 was heading north and turning left into a parking lot. The motorcycle and sedan collided and the rider was thrown from his bike.

Both vehicles caught fire, and the driver of the Chrysler was able to get out of the car before it became fully engulfed, police say.
