Salinas,CA : Crash outside Salinas leaves three dead on may, Saturday 13th 2017

Three people from Salinas were killed on Saturday when their car crashed into big rig that was turning onto a private driveway on Espinosa Road.

The California Highway Patrol reported that about 1 p.m. Saturday, the driver of a 2008 BMW 335i was driving eastbound on Espinosa, just east of Rodgers Road, at a high rate of speed. As a big rig was making a left turn into a private driveway ahead of the car, the BMW driver applied the brakes, skidded and crashed into the right side rear of the big rig, detaching the rig’s trailer, which collided with a third vehicle.

The crash killed all three occupants of the BMW: a man and woman, both 33; and a woman, 61. The occupants of the rig and third vehicle were uninjured, the CHP said.
