Piqua,OH : ID released of woman killed in pedestrian crash on may, Sunday 28th 2017

The woman who died following a pedestrian crash late Sunday night has been identified.

Piqua Police say the victim is Mary Yeretzian, 61, of Piqua.

Authorities say the crash occurred on Riverside Drive (St. Rt. 66) at 10:31 p.m. when Yeretzian apparently stepped off the curb and into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

The vehicle struck her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Riverside Drive was closed to traffic for nearly two hours while Piqua police and troopers from the Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigated the crash.

The name of the driver has not been released at this time and the crash is under investigation.
