Town of Brant, N.Y : Eden Woman Dies in a Thruway Accident in Brant on early Sunday, August 24, 2014

A 41-year-old Eden woman lost her life early Sunday after the car she was driving rolled over on the eastbound Thruway in Brant, the New York State Police reported. Kerilyn S. Reisch, of Second Street, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office. The rollover occurred just before 1 a.m. after Reisch’s car left the roadway near mile marker 453, police said. The vehicle traveled through the grassy median, began to turn sideways and when its tires struck the gravel on the westbound shoulder, the vehicle overturned and Reisch was ejected. Preliminary investigation found that Reisch was not wearing her seat belt, said Trooper Matthew Izbicki, public information officer. Speed did not appear to be a factor, Izbicki said.
