Louisville, KY : Motorcyclist dies in crash with passenger vehicle on East Indian Trail at Petersburg Road on Tuesday evening, March 22, 2016

A motorcyclist died after he was ejected from his bike in a crash involving another vehicle Tuesday evening.

The accident was reported on East Indian Trail at Petersburg Road on shortly before 6 p.m., according to MetroSafe.

The motorcyclist was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment where he was pronounced dead, Louisville Metro Police Department spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said.

The name of the motorcyclist has not been released.

The driver of the passenger car was not injured.

The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
