Authorities have identified a man who died in a motorcycle accident on I-26 in North Charleston this past weekend.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office says 53-year-old Thomas Combahee of North Charleston died from blunt force trauma.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
The accident was in the area of I-26 westbound near mile-marker 216 on Sunday evening.
The man lost control of his motorcycle and hit a guardrail, according to reports.
He was then thrown from the motorcycle and died of fatal injuries, police say.
Authorities reported that the driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet.
