Logan, WV : One person suffered fatal injuries from a car crash on April,Wednesday 12th 2017
A witness reports the crash occured around 5 p.m. near the Collonial.Tishie Trent, 39, of Lorado, was reportedly ejected from her vehicle after a collision.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department (LCSD) reports Trent was transported to Pike Medical Center by an air ambulance where she was later pronounced dead.
Deputy B.A. Mynes, wit the LCSD, reports he was on the scene in less than a minute.
Logan County Sheriff Sonya Dingess Porter issued a press release stating Trent crossed the centerline of the highway while she was driving an SUV in the southbound lane of route 80.
Trent’s SUV reportedly struck another vehicle on its driver’s side.
The driver and passenger in the second vehicle where taken to Logan Regional Medical Center by LEASA, and both are reportedly expected to recover.
The crash reportedly knocked out power for around 350 AEP customers.
Power was restored to the area within hours.
The LCSD reports it is still investigating the cause of the crash.
