Las Vegas ,NV :58-year-old man killed and two other injured after SUV crash near Las Vegas Convention Center on Friday night ,September 11th 2015

Authorities say a man has died and two others were injured after their SUV crashed near the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Las Vegas police say the incident happened just before 10 p.m. Friday on Convention Center Drive near Paradise Road.

According to witnesses, a Lincoln Navigator was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes at a high speed.

The vehicle then rode on the sidewalk and hit a large support column.

Authorities say the driver, 21-year-old Randy Flores, and the front passenger, 21-year-old Edilu Duarte, suffered serious injuries.

However, the 58-year-old man in the back seat later died from his injuries at a hospital.

His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Police say Flores was allegedly involved in a road-rage incident just before the crash.
