A Postville teen has died in a single-vehicle crash in rural Postville.

Allamakee County sheriff’s deputies identified the deceased as 16-year-old Lennon Scott Schara.

The accident happened at about 10:11 p.m. on Yellow River Drive about half a mile east of Road W-60, according o the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle was headed east when it left the roadway and hit a tree, according to the sheriff’s office. Schara was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The crash remains under investigation.

The sheriff’s office was assised by the Postville police and fire departments, Postville Ambulance, Gunderson Lutheran Air Ambulance and Veterans Memorial Ambulance.
