NASHVILLE, TN : Critical injury crash on I-24 in South Nashville under investigation on Sunday, 3rd December 2023

A crash with life-threatening injuries was reported after a multiple-vehicle crash on I-24 in South Nashville this morning.

A four-vehicle crash occurred at 5:30 a.m. Sunday on I-24 West between Harding Place exit and Briley Parkway (MM 56), according to Metro Nashville police. One person is fighting for their life.

The westbound lanes were shut down for hours, as they investigated.

At 10:30 a.m., traffic was backed up for 5 miles, the Tennessee Department of Transportation SmartWay traffic map showed. All lanes had reopened an hour later.
