Two people, including a Montpelier woman, escaped injury Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision in Middletown Springs.
According to Vermont State Police, Joan Senecal, 69, of Montpelier, was northbound on Route 133 in a 2004 Subaru Legacy when Crystal Gibbs, 30, of Poultney, lost control of her southbound 2005 Buick Rendezvous going around a curve. The two collided head-on, causing significant damage to both cars.
Road conditions were described as wet with areas of ice and slush.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts and declined medical attention, police said.
State police said Gibbs was ticketed because of the condition of her vehicle.
