Aiken, SC : Bette A. Lucas, 57, died after a two-vehicle collision in Aiken County on Saturday, August 6, 2016

The motorcycle driver killed Saturday morning as a result of a two-vehicle collision has been identified.

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said Bette A. Lucas, 57, was pronounced dead at Palmetto Richland Health in Columbia at 2:12 p.m. Saturday.

Lucas died from multiple body trauma, according to Carlton.

An autopsy is scheduled today in Newberry.

Highway Patrol responded around 8:40 a.m. Saturday to the collision about a mile south of Wagener, after Lucas’ 2004 Honda XL1200C motorcycle and a 2003 Ford Explorer, both traveling west on Wagener Trail Road, collided, according to information provided by Carlton and Lance Cpl. Judd Jones with Highway Patrol in a recording.
