TAMPA, FL : Ruskin motorcyclist crashes, fatally struck while lying on road on Tuesday 23rd October 2018

A 59-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a night crash on U.S. 41, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash took place at about 7:35 p.m. Thomas Williams Connors, of Ruskin, was traveling northbound on U.S. 41, north of Old U.S. 41A when troopers said he collided with the rear of a boat trailer being hauled by a 2001 Ford pickup truck, which was driven by Marty John Boatwright of Gibsonton.

Connors was ejected from his motorcycle and then struck on U.S. 41 by a northbound 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Todd Terrell, 34 of Jackson, Ala. Connors was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
