Birmingham, AL : Woman killed in hit-and-run on Parkway East, Birmingham on Wednesday, August 13, 2014

Birmingham police are investigating a hit-and-run that left one woman dead Wednesday night. Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards says Angela Marie McCall, 34, was killed in a hit-and-run around 12 a.m. Wednesday in the 9500 block of Parkway East. Edwards says a man was driving a Grand Prix eastbound on Parkway East. A witness told police the man was speeding. Edwards says the witness honked at the Grand Prix and drove around the car. The man then drove his car around the witnesses’ car, onto a curb and hit McCall. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Edwards says. The driver of the Grand Prix left the scene.
