Police say a Eugene motorcycle officer who had pulled over a driver for texting was hit from behind by another driver who also may have been texting while driving.
Police say 41-year-old Barry Rager was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield.
Lt. Doug Mozan told The Register-Guard (http://bit.ly/16QotzG ) Rager is in stable condition and is expected to be OK.
Rager had made a distracted driving stop on Interstate 105 Tuesday morning when he was hit by a van and knocked off his motorcycle. Mozan says the driver of the van was using a cellphone at the time of the accident.
