NEWPORT, OR : Pedestrian in stable condition after road-closing crash on Monday, November, 6th 2017

The pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Highway 101 Monday, Nov. 6 is in stable condition, according to a media release from the Oregon State Police. Newport resident Rolf Lengwenus, 67, was found in serious condition in the northbound lane of Highway 101 near Northwest 11th street after he was struck by an unidentified female driver around 5:30 p.m.
