Las Vegas, NV : Woman critically injured after hit by a car while crossing a Las Vegas street on Friday, April 8, 2016
Police say a woman was critically injured after she was hit by a car while crossing a Las Vegas street.
The incident occurred Friday shortly before 11:30 p.m. in the area of Pecos Road and Rawhide street.
According to police, a Ford Fiesta traveling northbound on Pecos hit the woman while she was walking outside a marked crosswalk.
The driver immediately stopped.
A second driver hit the Ford after trying to avoid hitting the pedestrian.
That driver also stayed at the scene.
Police say the woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and she is in critical condition.
They do not believe impairment was a factor.
The collision remains under investigation.
