Tucson, AZ : 34-year-old Eugenia Calnimptewa died in fatal collision on North Oracle Road near Prince Road on Tuesday night, October 18, 2016

A woman died Tuesday night, Oct. 18, after being struck by a vehicle on North Oracle Road near Prince Road, authorities said.

According to police, 34-year-old Eugenia Calnimptewa was taken to Banner-University Medical Center where she later died.

The accident was reported around 9:30 p.m. All northbound lanes of Oracle were closed in the area for several hours.

The Tucson Police Department said the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk and the driver said on the scene. Police say the driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. Speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

No citations have been issued.
