Odessa, TX : Arizona man arrested following collision in North Odessa on Wednesday, June 7, 2017
A 33-year-old Arizona man was arrested on charges of child endangerment after he reportedly lost control of full-size SUV and collided into a parked truck Wednesday in front of a north Odessa home, a city spokesperson said Thursday.
Matthew Chester, of Glendale, Ariz., was arrested on a count of child endangerment following the collision that was reported at 6:46 p.m. Wednesday at 8844 Rainbow Drive. Chester was traveling with a juvenile passenger whose age was not known, City of Odessa spokesperson Andrea Goodson said.
No injuries were reported during Wednesday’s collision, the Odessa Police Department said.
Chester was traveling southbound on the residential street when he reportedly veered across the northbound side of the road and collided his black Chevrolet Suburban into a blue Toyota Tundra that was parked in the driveway of the Rainbow Drive home and shoved against the garage door on impact, the OPD reported.
Chester, 6802 N. 67th St., was being held Thursday at the Ector County Detention Center with no bond set.
