A Massachusetts man was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was operating struck a highway barrier and crashed.
State police say the crash happened just after 6 p.m. Saturday on Route 291 in Springfield.
A preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle operated by the 60-year-old Chicopee man struck the barrier as he attempted to navigate the ramp to Route 291. The motorcycle subsequently struck a guardrail and crashed.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. There's no word on his current condition.
Police have not released his identity.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
